Evolving Through Grief
A Mother’s Guide to Healing After the Loss of Her Child
In this ebook, Roe Ziccarello conveys a sense of hope for others who are grieving a loved one. Her supportive tips and suggestions on coping with grief come from her own painful loss of a child, but anyone in mourning will be greatly comforted by her words. Roe shares her journey through her warm writing style, her poetry and
her songwriting. She writes about surviving the loneliness, pain and heartache. She reveals her experience with the denial, shock, numbness, anger and helplessness. She explains how she desperately needs the grief support from family and friends but actually craves to just be alone. Roe Ziccarello is an unwitting authority on bereavement, grief, suffering and sorrow — she’s lost her sister, two best friends, two brothers, mother, father, brother in law, and her son.
Evolving Through Grief includes ten practical self help steps for someone going through the grieving process. Also included is uplifting and inspiring grief poetry written by Roe and others. The ebook also contains two beautiful songs composed and performed by Roe.
For anyone who is dealing with death and dying, this is one of the best grief books or grief ebooks to help coping with grief. Bereaved parents and grieving parents know the pain and parental grief of losing a child. Grief books sometimes can help with the grief process and unresolved grief of letting go of mother’s grief and also father’s grief. It may even be that a grieving child is mourning the loss of a sibling. Sometimes grief counseling is recommended.
Your child’s death may have been caused by various things, including illness, murder, suicide or accident.
...And I want to break things and crush things And hurt myself further To stop the flood of emotion To freeze frame the hurricane force winds To silence the roar Of my own staggered breathing To cease the pain of feeling strangled
Is it any wonder that I strive so hard to not think so selfishly? Because when I commit this greatest of sins I experience the worst possible torture That a mother can feel.
Gian G, G, G, My precious, beautiful son, G
I choose with love unconditionally Your happiness and joy I choose your happiness.

About the Author.
Roe Ziccarello is a singer/songwriter, poet, author, children’s playwright, whose love of teaching is made manifest through her job as a Kindergarten teacher in Taos, New Mexico. She lives with husband, Thomas, and son, Joey. Roe holds a Master’s degree and an
Educational Specialist’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Georgia State University, and has taught elementary school for 15 years. Though her life has been highlighted in sorrow, Roe still maintains that she’s probably one of the most optimistic and happy people that she knows. She attributes this to a strong sense of self-awareness, a reflective personality, and spiritual faith. In the words of Eleanor Roosevelt, “It is better to light a candle than to curse the darkness.”

“I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to understand the psyche of grieving parents, to anyone who has also lost a child, or to anyone who has suffered loss of any kind, not just because the book is written in a practical and honest format, but also because it is uplifting and inspiring.
One client was a middle-aged woman suffering from severe depression that had been going on for five years, following the death of her son. After reading Roe's book, she said that it gave her an anchor, providing a language with which to interpret her own sorrow. But most importantly, it gave her hope and encouraged her to move forward in her own grief work, inspiring her to face her sorrow, knowing that someone else had been through it and had emerged whole again.”
